Nike
Maria Sharapova, Riccardo Tisci, and Nike Team Up on a Little Black Tennis Dress for the U.S. Open
Nike
Maria Sharapova donned a Swarovski-studded, all-black tennis dress with technical lace and eyelet-like perforations for her night matches that was designed by by Riccardo Tisci for Nike.
PROJECT SCOPE
Nike came to us with the goal of improving the customer experience, increasing foot traffic, and driving sales by providing a multi-sensory experience in the newly opened Nike SoHo in alignment with the timing of the US Open. We worked with their eam to transform the store through execution of a design that combined elegance and sophistication, feminizing a typically industrial arena and engaged all five senses, including smell and taste. It was a first for Nike in the store and it drew the appropriate amount of attention and sales during the madness of the US Open in New York. In addition to selling out of product, a career highlight occurred when Mark Parker, Nike's CEO, wrote to us to express his delight with the project, praising it for highlighting what Nike is accomplishing in their new retail model.
